This page is dedicated to our personal dogs that inspire and challenge us to be the best trainers that we can be. Each one has a very unique story of how they came to us and strive to be the best adovcates that they can be!
Nadia came to us as a 7 week old puppy and she has kept us busy since her tiny paws hit the ground! From a very early age she was strong, both mentally and physically. Nadia is an American Pit Bull Terrier, she is everything they are bred to be: Strong, Tenacious, Protective, Highly Intelligent, Loyal, Courageous, and High Drive. At an early age she showed some Dog Aggression that is commonly associated with APBT's. We were warned that this could not be fixed and that she may ultimately need to be "put down", that was not an option for us! We were challenged to fix and manage this behavior in the best way possible. While she will never be a dog is comfortable going to a dog park, or hanging out in large groups of dogs, she can safely co-exist, supervised with other dogs, walk with other dogs, and be a true ambassador for her breed! Nadia is a happy, healthy 5 year old girl that enjoys going to work with her "daddy" every day, loves to play ball, and "speak" for treats.
This beautiful girl was rescued via a post on a Facebook page. Her owner was threatening to surrender her to a kill shelter that did not adopt out bully breeds at 3 months old. She was claimed to be a Cane Corso (Italian Mastiff) and has a docked tail. She had signs of abuse, was extremely fearful, and had skin infections. Our original plan was to foster her until she was healthy enough both physically and mentally to be adopted into a new home, Carbon had other ideas. We believe she is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, at 40 lbs she is a solid little girl! Carbon blossomed into a beautiful girl, she has a wonderfully loving personality and gives the best kisses! She is very highly food motivated and loves learning new tricks to entertain everyone! Her favorite past times include playing ball, doing agility, and climbing trees!
As a Dog Trainer and a Dog Lover, we are always in search of the "Perfect Dog" or more specifically the perfect dog for me. I first saw this breed during some late night online web searching, and the moment I saw one I was hooked! Selah is a South African Boerboel, this is the official "Farm Dog" of South Africa. The Boerboel is a strong and intelligent working dog, that excels as a home guardian and loving family companion. Selah came to me at 1 1/2 yrs old from a breeder that had imported her as a young puppy, due to personal reasons they were selling her. How lucky am I to have been able to acquire this beautiful girl? She is everything that makes her breed so rare, stunning, and beautiful. Selah is aloof in a non-aggressive way unless she feels that her family or property is in jeopardy. She is a wonderful breed ambassador and shows everyone she meets just how majestic her breed truly is.
